The BUA Cycling Programme for youth empowerment, founded in 2013 in Nairobi Kenya, stands out with a unique mission - "Changing the lives of the youth and community through cycling." We are keen on promoting cycling as a sport and as an efficient means of transport that is Eco-friendly and healthy, and our commitment to community impact resonates with our values.

The BUA Cycling Programme, is one of the most diverse in the region and caters to competitive and recreational cyclists of all ages and categories. Representing diverse cycling interest, our team engages in competitive races, rider development, event promotion, cycling tours and charitable activities in order to promote the non profit goals we intend to achieve for the benefit of the community..

PHEBEY Collaboration

Cycling program in partnership with Tripollo Cycling Club.

The PHEBEY program in partnership with Tripollo Cycling Club, is one of the key platforms that has been using Cycling as a poverty alleviation tool.

The bikes, cycling equipment, funds and mechanical expertise etc mobilized through Tripollo Cycling Club and other well wishers, sponsors or donors are some of the ways BUA Cycling programme has used to achieve the programmes goals and objectives. This collaboration has been impactful and all steps have been taken under close supervision of the umbrella body Building Africa.

We combined the following pillar programs into one (BUA Cycling Programme) main program that is the foundation on which this programme has been running on, and the pillars are as follows:-

Poverty alleviation

Health

Education

Business

Environment

BUA Development Team

Building Africa (BUA) cycling Programme in partnership with Tripollo Cycling Club has a development team called Tripollo Cycling Team. The programme created a team with a focus on youth empowerment and development.

BUA (Non-Profit organization) has supported a cycling base camp based in Nanyuki and through this, we have identified 40 youth with great potential with the youngest being 10 years old. Whom we have enrolled in the training programme.

In the future, the programme hopes to start 2 more base camps in the Rift valley region and in the Western part of Kenya to further increase project reach and impact.

Training at the base camp for the pro-team.

Hard-training for the top performing Youth.

Team Motto: We Dream, We achieve....

Sponsors and Partnerships

Current Partnerships:

Currently, Building Africa (BUA) Cycling programme is proudly being sponsored and supported by Tripollo Cycling club. As a strategic partner, who are providing bikes, technical expertise, and sometimes funds for events for the youth in the team. This partnership started in 2013.

We are glad to announce another partner who is on board. They are an NGO based in the Netherlands called Jenga Foundation. We share similar visions and therefore found a point of convergence which compliment our goals. This partnership starts in September 2024.

We look forward to welcoming more partners/ sponsors. There is so much and your support to the BUA programmes still has many shortfalls, come, join us in positively advocating for Change through Cycling..
